The Al Pearce Show, otherwise called Al Pearce and his Gang, was comedy series that aired on various networks (and under different sponsors). In this show, Pearce was a door-to-door salesman, selling a wide variety of products ranging from corsets, shoes, clothes, and cosmetics, to fire extinguishers, dental supplies, barber supplies, and many more. He was the type of salesman who would always wish that his customers were not home, strangely because he was too shy face them and talk to them. Before he entered show business, Pearce himself was actually a salesman, so he had no difficulty playing the role.
