Old Time Radio Downloads > Comedy > Daddy And Rollo

Though JP McEvoy, the author, was already known for his humorous scripts, Daddy and Rollo was considered an innovation to the dramatic programs by then, since it only featured two characters, the Daddy and his 10-year old mischievous son Rollo in their funny and amusing interaction as father and son.

The story often revolves with questions of “why’s and how’s” of the little boy to answer his homework and satisfy his curiosity and the father’s goal of answering all of them. The fun part comes when the father’s intellectual prowess is not a much with the son’s unending question that leads to funny, humorous and sometimes an embarrassing interaction between the two.

ABOUT OLD TIME RADIO
The buzz-term for Old Time Radio is "OTR". OTR usually means radio broadcasting from the golden age of radio, mostly before 1964.These shows from the pre-television age include adventure, comedies, mystery shows, western dramas and shows from World War II. These programs feature the best talent of the day and were broadcast nearly as widely as cable programs today. And just like TV today, families would gather around their crystal radio sets to enjoy the entertainment together.
