Old Time Radio Downloads > Drama > Wayside Theater

Wayside Theater was a radio show that served as the breather for its listeners, due to the fact that it featured the most sought-after tandem of genres, the romantic comedy. The series aired the love stories and struggles in love, of the most unusual to the most common people living in Mexico. It had a total of 9 episodes in collection, which varies from the story of a newlywed couple’s trouble with the health-conscious boss, a woman falling in love for a thief, to a cat and dog relationship between a cab driver and a socialite. The show, and all of its episodes, were sponsored by the Chicago Motor Club, which is now known as the American Automobile Association.

ABOUT OLD TIME RADIO
The buzz-term for Old Time Radio is "OTR". OTR usually means radio broadcasting from the golden age of radio, mostly before 1964.These shows from the pre-television age include adventure, comedies, mystery shows, western dramas and shows from World War II. These programs feature the best talent of the day and were broadcast nearly as widely as cable programs today. And just like TV today, families would gather around their crystal radio sets to enjoy the entertainment together.
