Camel Caravan: Come to the Clubhouse to enjoy Fine Tobacco and Great Jazz!

Caramel Caravan was a musical variety show that first aired on NBC Radio in December 1933 and later on CBS Radio until 1954. During its two decade run, it was able to feature talents such as Georgia Gibbs, Benny Goodman, Vaughn Monroe, and Anita O'Day.

The show was originally intended to showcase the musical talent of the Casa Loma Orchestra, most especially its leader Glen Gray, a famous jazz saxophonist. Apart for the music segment, there was also some comedy piece provided by Walter O'Keefe, together with the comedic duo of Stoopnagle and Budd. The show was set up like that until the reformat on June 25, 1936 during which new orchestras, singers and musicians, artists, and even novelists were introduced. Included in the new format were Nathaniel Shilkret with his orchestra, and Benny Goodman with his band. Three years later, on June 27, 1939, Bob Crosby took over the show.
