Born in Godalming Surrey, England 7/28/1894; died 11/22/1963 in Los Angeles, California. Virtually blind since he was seventeen years old, his eye disease caused him to move and settle in California in 1937. Writer of many novels including Point Counter Point (1928); Brave New World (1932).

Huxley narrated his "Brave New World" that was adapted to The CBS Radio Workshop (aired in two parts for the first programs of the series (1/27/1956 and 2/3/1956). Huxley's Point Counter Point was adapted to television as a five part presentation on Masterpiece Theatre for PBS-TV in 1973.
