Lunt, Alfred (birth name was Alfred David Lunt, Jr.) Born in Milwaukee, Wisconsin 8/12/1893; died 8/3/1977 of bladder cancer in Chicago, Illinois. Married to actress Lynne Fontanne (1922-1977 his death). Lunt first acted at age three. Educated at Carroll College. Screen debut playing John Thorne in Backbone (1923). Last movie was The Guardsman (1931).
