Great actress and talent. Lansbury should have won an Oscar for her role as Raymond Shaw's evil Mother in Frankenheimer's The Manchurian Candidate. Arguably, the best screen performance of Laurence Harvey, other than Room At The Top, and one of the three best Sinatra acting jobs.

Played mother of Larry Harvey in the Manchurian Candidate (the mother from hell), when she was much younger than him. First movie in the U.S. Was Gas Light, I believe she was 16. She could play any age, look any way, speak with any accent to fit the part. This is an actress. Why does Hollywood let actresses with her talents sit at home....guess they don't write parts for the older broads. She would make any of today's actresses look like they have no talent...but then, they don't. Well maybe Meryl S. Does. Miss seeing her on screen. Yes, I am a big fan.
