Sullivan Show) on CBS (1949-1964). The only feature movie he appeared in was playing Jenkins in Taxi (1953). He appeared in one TV movie, playing a Mercury Theatre Player in The Night That Panicked America (1975).

Following my US Navy days, I used my GI Bill at Hollywood Columbia School of Broadcasting, Mr Hannes was my tutor/instructor early 1970's. One key facet he helped me with was breathing from the diaphragm. It has been a key to overcoming asthma. I so wish I'd followed through but a young family was counting on me...Bob Lannon

Hannes, Art (birth name was Arthur R. Hannes) Born in Newport, Kentucky 7/28/1920; died 3/30/1992 of respiratory failure in Sherman Oaks, California. Attended St. Bonaventure College, then began his broadcasting career at KMOX-St. Louis, Missouri. He covered the Admiral Byrd Expedition for CBS. In 1947, he became a staff announcer for CBS.
