Hern, Art (birth name was Arthur L. Hern) Born in Mannington, West Virginia 2/14/1907; died 8/4/1997. An orphan at age two, he was raised by relatives in Chicago and Milwaukee. He began acting on stage as a teenager, then began a career on radio at WTMJ-Milwaukee. By 1937 he was in Chicago, acting on network radio programs.
