He planned a career in law, but after serving in WWI, he began a show business career, making his Broadway debut in 1923. Appeared in three movies, played Chris in The Plastic Dome of Norma Jean (1965); played a
judge in Bananas (1971), and was a dog vendor in The Great Gatsby (1974).
