Born in Chicago, Illinois 1/26/1908). Died 12/17/1972 in Tampa, Florida. No info that he was ever married. Son of Chicago actor Arthur E. Kohl. He attended the University of Chicago, and became a radio actor in the early 1930s. He served in the armed forces during WWI, and while serving he produced shows to entertain troops, which led to an acting career after he was discharged. He began acting on stage with a stock company, then made his radio debut in 1924.
