Roberts, Ben (pseudonym of Ben Eisenberg) Born 3/23/1916; died in 5/1984 at Los Angeles, California. Roberts served in the U.S. Army Signal Corp during WWII where he met Ivan Goff, his writng partner for 39 years. The team's first writing effort was the 1947 play, "Portrait In Black." The team wrote screenplays including White Heat (1949), and the team was nominated for a 1957 Academy Award for writing Man Of A Thousand Faces.
