Idelson, Billy (birth name was William J. Idelson)
Born in Forest Park, Illinois 8/21/1920. Died 12/31/2007 from complications of a hip injury, after breaking his hip in June at a Los Angeles, California hospital. He was the son of Russian immigrants. Father of deseased actress Ellen Idelson (1961-2003). Served in the US Navy during WWII as a fighter pilot, flying night missions over Japan, earning a Distinguished Flying Cross and four Air Medals.
