Born in New York City 3/15/1889; died 11/23/1940 in New York City. Singer that made his Broadway debut in 1909.

While making a record, he met Ernie Hare, and he became Jones in the Happiness Boys comedy team for eighteen years. The team began their routines, or opening of their radio program with, "how-do-you-do, everbody, how-do-you-do?"

The comedy team was featured on their own radio program titled, "The Happiness Boys" first heard on WJZ-Newary (1921), followed by WEAF-New York (1923), then the full NBC Network on either BLUE or RED (1926-1938); WMCA-New York (1938-1940). The team was also featured on Community Sing for CBS-Radio (1936-1937).
