May, Billy (birth name was William E. May) Born in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania 11/10/1916; died 1/22/2004 of a heart attack at his San Juan Capostrano, California home. May began his career with Gene Olsen's Polish-American Orchestra (1933), then musician in bands of Al Howard; Lee River; Baron Elliot (1937-1938); Charlie Barnet (1938-1939); Glenn Miller (1940-1942).
