Bing Crosby 05.03.1903 - 10.14.1977 (74 years old)
"Bing Crosby is one of the most iconic names from the 1940s and 1950s. From his On the Road movies with comedic partner Bob Hope to the yearly TV Christmas specials to the records, radio shows, and golf tournament, Crosby has a long and very large body of work to enjoy. Without a doubt his most famous song is the holiday classic White Christmas. Who doesn't enjoy hearing it every holiday season on the radio not to mention watching the classics White Christmas and Holiday Inn. (The song White Christmas actually debuted in the movie Holiday Inn.)
Crosby's radio career was just as prolific. He first started in 1931 on 15 Minutes with Bing Crosby and proceeded with a few other 15 minute shows. Over his radio career, he starred in several variety shows like Chesterfield Music that Satisfies, Kraft Music Hall, The Bing Crosby Show, ending with The Bing Crosby - Rosemary Clooney Show in the early 1960s.
