Spoiler : Eberly, Bob (real last name is Eberle) Born in Mechanicsville, New York 7/24/1916; died 11/17/1981 following a series of heart attacks due to chemotherapy for lung cancer in Great Neck, New York. Eberly had his right lung removed eighteen months prior to his death. Brother of vocalist-bandleader Ray Eberle. Eberly began his career as a vocalist with the Dorsey Brothers Orchestra in 1935, when the Dorseys split up he stayed with Jimmy Dorsey. Remembered for his recordings of Tangerine; Yours; Champagne; Green Eyes. Served in the armed forces during WWII, then after end of the war he sang briefly with Ray Anthony's band, and led his own band briefly.
