Born in Iowa City, Iowa ca 1916. Graduated from the University Of Iowa in 1937, and joined NBC-Radio in Chicago, Illinois as a sound effects man in 1938. Served with the OSS during WWII (1944-1946). Provided sound effects for radio programs including Lights Out (1938, again 1945-46); Jack Armstrong, The All-American Boy (1938-1941); Don Winslow Of The Navy (1938-1943); Ma Perkins (1938-1949); Backstage Wife (1938-1955); Captain Midnight (1942-1945).
