Born in Michigan Indiana; 2/18/2000 at age 86 after being in a coma for two days in West Palm Beach, Florida. Hite began his announcing career at WXYZ-Detroit in the late 1930's announcing for The Lone Ranger, The Green Hornet, Ned Jordan, Secret Agent and Challenge Of The Yukon. Hite moved to New York, and introduced Frank Sinatra the first time he sang with the Tommy Dorsey band. Hite was a CBS announcer until his retirement in 1979 when he moved to Florida.
