Spoiler : Esmond, Carl (birth name was Willy Eichberger) Born in Vienna, Austria 1/14/1908; died 12/4/2004 of natural causes at his home in Brentwood, California. Esmond studied at the Vienna State Academy of Dramatic Arts, then began his career acting in 1933 in Berlin. After some 16 films that made him a German and Austrian matinee idol, he moved to England to acto in stage plays such as Victoria Regina. Screen debut in Kaiserwalzer (1933). American film debut in 1938's Dawn Patrol. Last movie was Agent for H.A.R.M. (1966). Television actor from 1951 to the middle 1970s.
