Born in Danville, Illinois 8/21/1904; died 3/14/1975 in Chicago, Illinois. He began his career on radio in Chicago in 1934. He moved to Hollywood, but in 1939 was back in Chicago acting on radio. When Hollywood became the center for radio production, he moved back to Hollywood.

Following the decline of network radio in the early 1950s, Kadell once again moved back to Chicago, working in local radio and television. Host of Classical Kaleidoscope during the early 1970s. He suffered a heart attack while on the air, dying a few hours later.
