Married to movie producer David Sebastian (?-?). Nicknamed the "Brazilian Bombshell." Popularized the Samba in America. Miranda was famous for her flaring skirts (with bare midriff), wedgie shoes and to say the very least, her remarkable headdresses. She began her career in Brazil on radio, records and movies before coming to America in 1939.

Carmen passed at only age 46 (in 1955) from a heart attack and had just performed on stage earlier that evening.
