Dant, Charles Bud (birth name was Gustave J. Kiefer) Born in Washington, Indiana 6/21/1907; died 10/31/1999. Married to composer and author June Anne Stebbins (?-?). Dant began his career as a Jazz cornet player in vaudeville (1925-1926); formed Bud Dant's Collegians in college. MCA Pictures put his band under contract in 1933. Dant joined the Ted Weem band in 1937.
