Spoiler : Born in Onset Bay, Massachusetts 8/9/1901; died 5/6/1990 of heart failure in Palm Springs, California. Married to Virginia Valli (1932-1968 her death). Graduated from the Boston University with a degree in business. Screen debut playing an uncredited bit role in Seventh Heaven (1923). Paired with actress Janet Gaynor, and they became the world's most popular "movie" lovers (1930-1934). Last movie was playing Barry Scott in The Deadly Game (1941). He served in the U.S. Navy (1942-1945). He served a term as the mayor of Palm Springs, California during the late 1940's. Farrell had quit his film career in the 1940s to operate The Palm Springs Racquet Club, which owned until 1959, but continued with his radio and television acting career.
