Son of actors William Morris and Etta Hawkins. Married and divorced to actress Suzanne Kilbourne (?-?); model (the original Chesterfield Girl) Lillian Kenton Barker (?-?). Morris began his career with Lionel Barrymore in The Copperhead, a play at the New York Shubert Theatre. Screen debut in Alibi (1928). Last movie was The Great White Hope (1970). Boston Blackie in the movie series, then reprised his role of Blackie for the NBC-Radio show that began as a summer replacement for Amos N' Andy from 6/23/1944 until 9/15/1944. Spoiler : I love Corsair, for many reasons. As I mentioned elsewhere/in a comment in another post, Mayo Methot and Ned Sparks create characters with depth and an engaging pathos, even tho they are only in supporting roles. Also, Thelma Todd demonstrates some dynamite dramatic acting chops in this film.....her scene with Morris when he visits her home to tell her sayonara baby is fabulous, you can see her thinking as the character she's portraying. I am so sorry that she didn't have more opportunities for dramatic roles.
