Co-anchor of the NBC-TV evening news with David Brinkley beginning in 10/1956 as a fifteen minute five-times-a-week program, expanded to thirty minutes five-times-a- week 8/9/1963 to 7/1970 when Huntley retired. Host of Outlook for NBC-TV (1956-1958); Chet Huntley Reporting (1957-1963). Narrator of "Hemmingway" on the first telecast of The Dupont Show Of The Week 9/17/1961. Sometimes narrator of NBC television's documentary program, Actuality Specials (1962-1968). Emmy Awards in 1959, 1961, 1962, 1963, 1964, 1969 and 1970 for the Huntley-Brinkley Report. In 1972, Huntley came out of retirement to be a spokesman for American Airlines.
