Born in Sioux City, Iowa 1/18/1920; died 9/16/2005 of heart failure following a long illness at the Motion Picture and Television Country House and Hospital in Woodland Hills, California.

Robert

Married to Hollywood talent agent John Maschio (1939-1998 his death). Moore grew up in Dallas, Texas where her father owned a chain of drugstores. He sponsored a radio show, called The Early Bird's Program on the local CBS affiliate to showcase Moore's impressive contralto voice. An Universal Studios talent scout heard her singing on radio, and signed her to a movie contract without the requisite screen test.

She moved to Hollywood in 1937, then made her screen debut playing an uncredited role in Letter Of Introduction (1938), then played Mary Jo Benton in Border Wolves (1938). Moore is remebered for playing the daughter of W.C. Fields in You Can't Cheat an Honest Man (1939), and Wilma Deering in the Buck Rogers 1939 serial. Broadway debut in By Jupiter (1942). Last movie role was playing Ellen Baker in Hit Parade of 1947 (1947).
