Born in St. Louis, Missouri 3/11/1915. While in law college, he quit to become an announcer at KMOX-St Louis. announcer for programs including Ma Perkins (one of several) (1933-1949); Musical Millwheel (1941); Auction Quiz (1941-1942). CBS-Radio announcer for Make Up Your Mind (?-1954-?). Donaldson performed in many commercials during the 1960s.
