DEANNA DURBIN (1921 ~ 2013) Durbin was a top star at Universal Studios (with a professional soprano singing voice) in films like: "Three Smart Girls" "One Hundred Men and a Girl" (37), "Mad About Music" (38), "That Certain Age" (38), "Three Smart Girls Grow Up" (39), "First Love" (39), "It's A Date" (40), "It Started With Eve" (41), "Christmas Holiday" (44) and "Lady On A Train" (45). In 1938, she was awarded a Special Juvenile Oscar.

Married and divorced to Vaughn Paul (1941-1943); Hollywood producer Felix Jackson (1945-1949); ex-director Charles Henri David (1950-?). Screen debut in shorts, then Three Smart Girls (1936). Last movie was Up In Central Park (1948). Featured on The Eddie Cantor Show for CBS-Radio (1937-1938). Durbin retired from show-business in 1948, and after marrying David they moved to Neauphlele-Chateau, France.

Also in '36, she auditioned to provide the vocals for Snow White in Disney's animated film "Snow White And The Seven Dwarfs", but was rejected by Walt Disney, who said Durbin's 15 year old voice was "too old" for the part.
