Born in Bethune, Colorado 5/11/1920; died 12/25/1997 of lung cancer at the St. Joseph Medical Center in Burbank, California. Graduated from University of Colorado. Served in the U.S. Navy during WWII, wounded during the Guadalcanal campaign and recieved a medical discharge in 1942. Pyle worked in an aircraft factory while studying to be an actor. Screen debut in The Guilt Of Janet Ames (1947). Last movie was a cameo role in Maverick (1994).
