Born in Lincoln, Nebraska 3/30/1905; died 6/22/1954 at age 49 of suicide by asphyxiation after opening gas jets on his stove. Attended The University of Nebraska, leaving before he graduated in 1926 to begin his journalism career. He worked for newspapers including The Nebraska State Journal; The Omaha Bee News; The Hearst Newspapers; picture editor for Associated Press; picture editor for PM magazine; European broadcaster for the Office of War Information.
