Hines, Earl "Fatha" (birth name was Earl Kenneth Hines) Born in Duquesne, Pennsylvania 12/28/1903; died in 4/1983 of a heart attack in Oakland, California. Jazz pianist that formed his formed trio in 1921, then a full band in Chicago (1924). Joined the Carroll Dickerson band in 1926, then Louis Armstrong (1928-?, again 1948-?).
