Born in Elgin, Illinois 1/3/1914; died in 6/1987 at Rancho Mirage, California. Los Angeles, California used car king. Muntz produced his own car, the Muntz Jet in the early 1950's, but was well-known for his well-made television sets that he produced from 1949 to 1954. His sets brought the prices down so that all American's could afford a television set for their home.
