He made his radio debut in 1934 playing Dennis Fallon on the CBS soap, The Romance of Helen Trent. One of two actors to play Dal Tremaine on the CBS and NBC Radio Network soap, Arnold Grimm's Daughter (1937-1942). Ned Holden on the NBC-Radio soap, The Guiding Light (1937-1946). One of two actors to play Colonel Francis Welch on The Bartons for NBC-Radio (1939-1942). One of two actors to play Dwight Kramer on the NBC and CBS Radio Network soap, The Right To Happiness (1939-1960). One of two actors (mostly Prentiss) to play Captain Midnight on the Mutual and NBC Radio Network program (1940-1949). Continuing role on the NBC-BLUE soap, Sweet River (1943-1944). Regular performer on Johnny Lujack Of Notre Dame for ABC-Radio (1949).

I have a picture of him from a studio in Chicago that my uncle owned and it's signed it's pretty cool there's a bunch of old black and white photos with autographs that I have love it wish life was like that again.
