Married and divorced to actress Cathy Lewis (1943- 1958); Mary Jane Croft (1959-1990 his death). Lewis' nickname was Mr. Radio while married to Cathy Lewis. Studied law at Los Angeles City College, but turned to acting for a career. Actor on screen in The Story Of Molly X (1949); Saturday's Hero (1951).

Spoiler : I have communicated with the Radio Hall of Fame regarding their omission to include Elliot Lewis into their ranks. Elliot Lewis was a GIANT in the radio industry. An actor, writer, producer, director and author, his body of work provided years of top entertainment. I listen for credits attributed to Lewis which confirm "That was a great program. Now I know why." Many are still capitalizing on the programs Lewis had a hand in. I wrote to RHF and asked that Lewis be reconsidered for nomination. I spoke with Kraig Kitchin. I've also written to Greg Bell Old Time Radio Sirus/Xm. What are your thoughts on this matter? How do we move a nomination forward?
