Organized the Monte Carlo Beach Club sometime in the 1920's. She began her lecture career in 1938, gave over eighty-seven lectures covering America in twenty states and Canada. Author of articles in leading magazines of her times before becomming a famous hostess and party-giver. Appeared in a series of short subject films at Warner Brothers beginning in 1940, then appeared in feature movies including Hotel For Women (1939); Elsa Maxwell's Public Deb #1 for 20th-Century FOX (1941).
