Fort Pearson was my grandfather, I'm curious to learn anything more about him. He also did the local news in San Francisco in the 60s on -- I think -- KPIX. Anyone have any history to share?

Born in Tennessee 5/3/1909; died 2/19/1989 in San Francisco, California. He began his radio career in 1927, and was associated with several local stations before he joined the staff of WMAQ-WENR-NBC-Chicago in 1935. NBC, CBS and Mutual Radio announcer for programs including episodes of The Guiding Light on CBS (1937?-1956?); Beat The Band on NBC (1940-1941); The Quiz Kids on NBC, ABC and CBS (1940?- 1953?); Comedy Of Errors on Mutual (1949-1952); The David Rose Show on CBS (1950); The Hoosier Hot Shots on Mutual (1950-1951). Host of The Navy Hour while serving in the US Navy during WWII.
