Spoiler : Born in St. John's, Newfoundland 5/10/1894; died 10/18/1973 of injuries from a fire in New York City. On 10/10/1973, Knights apartment was destroyed by fire, which killed his wife Mildred. He was educated at St. Bonaventure's, then worked as a bank clerk before serving in WWI. He was wounded in combat during WWI, then studied medicine at McGill University. Sometime in the 1920s, he moved to America, settling in New York City where he played several minor roles on Broadway before beginning a long radio career as an announcer at WABC in 1926. By 1928, he was a network staff announcer.
