Destination Freedom, a Negro civil rights dramatic anthology that was broadcast on WMAQ-Chicago from 1948 to 1950. Pinkard reenacted the program on Devner Radio in 2000, reprising a segment, Poet of Bronzeville" and "The Story of Gwendolyn Brooks." Original cast member including columist Studs Terkel and musician Oscar Brown joined him in the Denver programs.
