Born in Baltimore, Maryland 9/28/1923; died 6/23/1992 of lymphoma in New York City. Educated at Baltimore City College and The University of Baltimore Law School. He was an announcer at station WITH-Baltimore when he became a disk jockey that was noted for his hip slang and floppy bow-tie. In 1942, he joined the staff of WHN-New York, then he became a network announcer.
