Born in El Paso, Texas 8/19/1921; died 10/24/1991 of heart failure due to a blood clot in Santa Monica, California. Married to actress (Nurse Chapel on Star Trek) Majel Barrett (?-1991 his death). Served in the Army Air Corp as a B-17 bomber pilot during WWII. After war was a pilot for Pan American Airlines and a Los Angeles Police Officer. Began his writing career with speeches for Los Angeles, California Police Chief Parker in the early 1950s.
