She began singing using name of Fredda Gibson, by late 1942 she was being called Georgia Gibbs. "Her Nibbs" was the name given to her by Garry Moore. Vocalist on radio programs including Your Hit Parade for CBS (1937-1938); Melody Puzzles for Mutual (1937-1938); The Royal Crown Revue (Tim And Irene) for NBC-BLUE (1938); Camel Caravan for CBS (1942-1943); The Durante-Moore Show for CBS (1943-1945).
