Spoiler : Gorgeous and so talented. I just watched that movie the other day. I love Greg Peck and Charlton Heston so it was great to watch. And the music soundtrack was the best!

Spoiler : His characters were as unique as he was, each one an element that put his acting over the top, but when it came to the end of the day the one compelling character Hollywood couldn't capture on film was him as himself. Sometimes we look solely to the characters and not the person behind after all make and costumes are just those things, it is the voice and the life, but then there is more to a man like Gregory then his name on a marquee, heart and soul is what he gave it.

Spoiler : Peck, Gregory (birth name was Eldred Gregory Peck) Born in La Jolla, California 4/5/1916; died 6/12/2003 at about 4 a.m. at his home in Los Angeles, California. He wasn't feeling well according to family spokesman Monroe Friedman, she stated his wife (Passani) went to his bedside, held his hand, and he looked at her, closed his eyes and was gone. Rumors had been circulating the he was suffering ill health, but family said no, that he was certainly getting older and showing his years. Married and divorced to Greta Konen (?-1955); French newspaperwoman Veronique Passani (1955-2003 his death). Father of actor Tony Peck. Studied to be a doctor at the University Of California at Berkeley, switched his major to English, and studied drama. After his graduation in 1939, he moved to New York, was a barker at the New York World's Fair, worked as a tour guide at Radio City Music Hall, and was a model for the Montgomery Ward catalog. Sources claimed he was an athlete in college, and suffered a spinal injury that caused him to be 4-F for WWII service, but Peck told a biographer that he actually suffered his ruptured disc during a movement class when the late Martha Graham put her knee in his back and pushed to "help" him bend his nead between his knees. Most all actors were serving during WWII, so it allowed Peck to become a sought after actor. Screen debut in Days Of Glory (1944). Last movie was playing Atticus Finch in 1993's Passage a l' acte. Last acting was playing Father Mapple in the 1998 tele-film, Moby Dick.

Spoiler : What a fantastic pair....Gregory Peck and Audrey Hepburn....he was 36 years old and she was 23 at the time of shooting of Roman Holiday and they become as if friends from childhood. Gregory, as a thorough gentleman, knew what kind of place Audrey has in that particular movie and so he even suggested producers to think giving her first billing in credit titles. Audrey’s death in 1993, Gregory was with her coffin and had recited Nobel Prize winner poet Ravindranath Tagore's poem...."Unending Love.." Audrey Hepburn's favorite one.
