Born in Surbiton, England 4/29/1896; died 2/26/1967 in Amityville, New York. He acted on stage in England before serving in the British armed forces during WWI. He came to America in 1919
where he began his long career on stage, in movies, and on radio and television. On screen in many shorts including Wet Gold and Her Hired Husband during the 1920's. Last movie was The Vagabond King (1956).
