Spoiler : Forrest, Helen (aka Bonnie Blue) Born in Atlantic City, New Jersey 4/12/1918; died 7/10/1999 of congestive heart failure at the Motion Picture and Television Country Home in Woodland Hills, California (Forrest had been hospitalized since 4/13/1999 suffering from pneumonia). Married and divorced three times including actor Paul Halahan (?-?). Forrest began singing as a child on local New Jersey radio stations, then moved to New York where she continued to sing on stations including WNEW, then CBS with trumpeter Bunny Berigan. She used the name of Bonnie Blue when she was a vocalist with the Mark Warnow band, then used Helen Forrest as vocalist for bands of Artie Shaw (1938-1939); Benny Goodman (1939-1941); Harry James (1941-1944). Forrest became one of the most popular big band singers (voice of the name bands) that won the 1942 Downbeat and Metronome polls.
