Spoiler : Hunter, Mary (Mary Hunter-Wolf) Born in Bakersfield, California 12/4/1910; died 11/3/2000 at an assisted living facility in Hamden, Connecticutt. Married and divorsed from television producer Herman Wolf (?-1965). Hunter was orphaned as a teenager. She studied acting at the Hollywood School for Girls, then attended Wellesley for three years. She moved to Santa Fe, where an aunt owned a health resort. Hunter directed her first play in 1927, a 17th Century Spanish verse play called "Los Moros y los Cristianos," which was performed on horseback. In 1928 she enrolled at the University of Chicago, directing plays at the Cube Theater, and began a career on local Chicago radio.
