Born in Chicago, Illinois 8/3/1915; died 9/1/1993 of a heart attack while asleep in Los Angeles, California. He was a law clerk and owned an insurance company before he turned to radio.To Satisy a bet, Douglas conducted a local radio interview series with factory workers in the early 1940s, it was so well received it continued for two years.

In addition to his radio show announcing, he had a knx-only show called, "Music For The Middle Mind". It leaned toward "light jazz" & popular instrumentals of the 50's.
