Spoiler : Berch, Jack Born in Sigel, Illinois 8/26/1907. This baritone vocalist and whistler began his radio career on NBC in 1935, and he was sponsored by Knox Gelatin on his own show the same year on NBC. Jack Berch and His Boys were heard twice a week on a CBS program sponsored by Fels Naptha Soap (1937-1939), then they were on The Sweetheart Serenader program sponsored by Sweetheart Soap on NBC and Mutual (1939-1940). He had his own program sponsored by Kelloggs on Mutual from 1943 to 1944, then the program switched to ABC in 1944 to 1945, and was sponsored by Prudential Insurance on ABC from 1945 to 1946, switching to NBC under the same sponsor from 1946 to 1951.
