Died 1/31/1989 at age 80 of cancer, and a heart attack in Los Angeles, California. Douglas began his career as a drummer in dance bands, was heard on WJR-Detroit and WLW-Cincinnati during the early 1930s, earning the nickname of, "The Old Night Watchman." Emcee for Senator Fishface and Professor Figgsbottle on NBC-Radio (1936-1938. Regular on What's New? on NBC-BLUE (1943-1944).
