Born in Winnipeg, Canada 3/20/1922; died 4/2/2002 following a long illness. Kruschen began his career when CBS discovered him when he was acting in a Hollywood High school student operetta production. He made his 1938 radio acting debut in a CBS special titled, "Christmas In Other Lands." Served in the Army during WWII working with The Armed Forces Radio Service. Screen debut in Red Hot And Blue (1949). Nominated for an Oscar for his role in 1960's Jack Lemmon/Shirley MacLaine film, The Apartment.
